My inspiration...

It hasn't been more than six months since I started following geoscientists in their blogs and on Twitter. I'm fascinated by this community--inspired by their interest in geoscience (and science in general) and intrigued by the opportunity to learn using this medium.

I've hesitated to start my own geoblog, because I don't feel like I have enough to contribute. But, inspired by this blog post by Brian Romans, aka Clastic Detritus, I'm starting one, with the initial goal of one post per month.

As I write my thesis, I'm realizing that blogging is a really good medium for discussing the interesting questions that have arisen from my research but aren't directly related to it.
